Daddy's Pillowcase
This pillowcase's stitch is called "Little Arrows". Instructions as follows:
Materials
For pillowcase
1 roll of Panda's Regal 4 ply cotton yarn (I used less than a roll)
1 pair of 4mm needles (I used a circular one but you don't have to)
1 tapestry or wool needle (just any blunt, thick needle would do)
For pillow
A bit of scrap cloth of the pillow cloth (I don't think you can find my cloth anymore, I made this a loooooooooooong time ago, like when I was still in Indonesia)
A lot of small scrap cloth to make the stuffing (alternatively, you can use the stuffing they sell in Spotlight or your local arts and craft store)
Needle and thread
Instructions
For pillowcase
Cast on 41 sts
Row 1: k1, [p1, k5, p1, k1] to end
Row 2: p1, [k2, p3, k2, p1] to end
Row 3: k2, p2, k1, p2, [k3, p2, k1, p2] to last 2 sts, k2
Row 4: p3, k1, p1, k1, [p5, k1, p1, k1] to last 3 sts, p3
Repeat and repeat and repeat until you think the cloth is big enough. I mean, I'm not the kind who would count the no. of rows I'd done. It's all very agar-agar for me.
Sew the long end, if you're more hardworking than me, you can sew one of the short sides too.
For pillow
Cut out 2 rectangular pieces of cloth in the same whatever size you like although mine was cute and smallish. (It should be slightly bigger than the actual size you want it since you'd want to let it have a little 'give'.)
Sew it, faced inside out, almost all around. Leave a little gap so that you can 1) turn it right side out afterwards and 2) stuff the stuffing in afterwards.
Stuff the stuffing in.
Sew up the opening as inconspicuously as possible though that was not very possible with my kind of skills then. But, hahah! I re-opened the pillow recently to give it a wash and it looks better now (when I'd sewn it). Teehee...
